How It Worked

You were able to book a time with one of our fun, local personal shoppers – it's free & zero obligation. Then agree on a video or photo sharing method and start your #shopkaikoura experience.

Payement was simple, dealing directly with the shop owner – like you would anywhere else. From there customers could arrange gift wrapping, postal addresses and delivery of receipts with your shopper.

Thank you for supporting Kaikoura's retail sector through these difficult times.

#shopkaikoura was made possible with the help of our awesome sponsors.

Impossible to not get behind! I can't wait to receive the locally made pounamu I bought at #shopkaikoura.

The quake forced us to cancel our summer family holiday to Kaikoura, so sad! Looking forward to using #shopkaikoura for a virtual shopping trip.

I just had a great time shopping at Ula on FaceTime with Emily from #shopkaikoura ! It was lots of fun and they found me lots of cool presents for the kids- even a cockroach! Give it a try and support our friends in Kaikoura.

Ingrid Cole, Nelson

Just been Christmas #shopkaikoura shopping with Colette my personal shopper what an incredible experience! Due to the tireless work of these amazing and extremely resilient business owners, the shops look as good if not better than when I visited a week before the terrible 7.8 earth quake.

Marie Brooks, Upper Hutt

My #shopkaikoura experience was quicker and easier than a trip down Lambton Quay and now I have my Secret Santa gifts sorted for the holiday season. Great experience and my shopper Jenny was fantastic.
